A straight consists of five consecutive cards of the same rank, while a flush consists of 5 cards of the same suit. A full house consists of three matching cards of one rank and two unmatched cards.

A good poker player must develop a strategy for each situation in the game and practice it until he or she has perfected it. This can be done through self-examination and taking notes, or by discussing your strategy with other players.
